New Saraswati House organised “The Progressive Teacher Conclave on 18th November 2017 at Ramada Plaza Juhu, Mumbai. More than 100 schools from Mumbai and nearby adjacent areas participated in the conclave.

The programme was inaugurated with the Diya lighting and later a welcome speech by Mrs. Rita Wilson the editor of ‘The Progressive Teacher’s Magazine’. She spoke on the plight of education and how it can be developed through innovative concepts. The chief guest and keynote address of the ceremony was Dr Indu Shahani (President and Chair: ISDI/WPP and ISME) Founding Dean- ISME. Dr Shahani delivered her keynote address on the topic ‘Significance and Importance of digital learning in education’.

The conclave had two panel discussions in which first discussion was under the theme of ‘Sustaining curiosity and improving learning ability of students’. The speakers for this session were Mrs. Revathi Sriniwasan principal of Sulochna Devi Singhania school, Thane, Ms. Nirmal Waddan principal of Kalyani school Pune and Ms Savita Venkat Chief Development officer, Bombay Cambridge International school Gurukul, Mumbai.

In the second panel discussion was under the theme, ‘Changing the learning path: Using digital technology in education to teach Gen ‘Y’. The speakers were Mrs. Kavita Sanghvi principal, MET Rishikul Vidyalaya, Bandra (MRV), Mr. Willibrord George, Principal and chief Education officer, St. Willibrords School, Prasanna Prabhakar Kelkar, HOD (Com Dept), St. Peter’s School, Panchgani and Dr. Ritu Narang, Head Digital& Training, NSHIPL.

During the event New Saraswati House launced its three series. ‘The English Circle’, ‘Science Orbit’ and ‘Bhasha Tarini’.

The Business head of New Saraswati House had talked about the contribution of NSHIPL in the path of empowering education process, students and teachers with their series imbibed with digital support to make learning more interesting.

The host for the programme Mr. Raunak Kapoor, Presenter at ESPN enhanced the event with his expertise which was appreciated by the teaching fraternity.
